  • Overlooking the beaches of Porto Pollo You're now at 188 meters altitude, at the Bucca di a Falcunaja, where you can enjoy the view over the Golfe du Valincu again, including a beautifull Genoese watch tower. A little but further off, you can even see your final destination for the day, Porto Pollo. Continue through some bushes, descending into the valley that was formed by sediments from the river Taravo that flows into the Mediterranean Sea here.

The path will eventually join the D157, but don't be fooled by the view here, you have to to go right at the electricity station, and after about 1 kilometer to the left again. You're crossing this flat area, following the D157. Just after the bridge crossing the Taravo river (the Pont Caitucoli), take another left and follow the D757 for another 7 kilometers (a bit under 5 miles) until you're in the heart of Porto Pollo. In summer, this can be a pretty busy town, with lots of crowded hotels. In spring and autumn, it won't be so busy, but in any case, you'll need to make a reservation for a hotel to be sure you have a bed waiting for you.
