At this point, it is possible to leave the official route and avoid a steep climb. By following the path, you'll get to the village of Vera (553 meters), where you can join the official route again.

Feels like we're on top of the world The official route however leaves the path to the right and leads you very close along the Punta di Fiminiccioli (at 727 meters) and then the Punta di Chiostri, the highest point of the stage at 800 meters. From the starting point, you have by now climbed a total of 610 meters. From here, it's down towards the Bocca di u Vint'Uni (738 meters) and further down to Vera (553 meters).

    Vera to Olmeto

A cold moring in April The second part of this stage, from Vera to Olmeto, starts of with a stretch that slowly climbs to 637 meters again. At one point, you'll have a great view across the Golfe du Valincu (Gulf of Valincu), the bay on which Propriano is also located. The terrain is rather rocky here.
