Mare a Mare Centre - Stage 6 (c)

Pay close attention to the route markings and your map in the last hour of the day. The small path that is indicated on the map has been changed into a wide sandy road, for forest workers. In the process, they've damaged quite a few markings. At some point, you'll go through an iron fence and then have to leave the sand road and go to the left into a little path. You'll then go through the woods, and probably see a sign on a gate, as you can see on this photo. Somebody had a lot of fun with a gun!

Close to Col St. George the path joins a large road. You go to the right and after a few hundred meters reach the col. The auberge is where you check in, but you'll spend the night in another building, just across the road.

Having freshened up, you have dinner at the auberge. It's the most expensive one of all the gites on the Mare a Mare Centre. In 2003 we paid € 38,20 per person for the stay including dinner and breakfast. And we also had to pay no less than € 15 for a lunch pack.
