Mare a Mare Centre - Stage 5 (a)

When you leave Guitera les Bains for the fifth stage of the Mare a Mare Centre, the first part of the route is pretty steep up hill. You're walking through a dense forest, but every now and then you'll have a nice view.

The markings that show you where to go are perfectly maintained. The orange paint stripes will guide you at any point. The paths are often full of rocks and branches. Add to that the wild pigs living in the forests, which look for food by digging everywhere. Enough reason to wear good hiking shoes that support your feet and ankles.

After a long and gradual descent, the path reaches a road that leads to the village of Frasseto. The church there looked to us like a very good place to have lunch.
