Mare a Mare Centre - Stage 2 (b)
What awaits you is the Bocca di Juva. Expect to see some glider airplanes, since there is a little airfield nearby.
After you've climbed the Bocca di Juva, the landscape changes. You walk into a forest and start to descend towards the gite in the village of Catastaghju. It's is an old watermill, converted into a building that can comfortably house a lot of people. The stream that runs by the gite is the river Abatescu, the same river that you saw at the start of the first stage, getting off the bus.
You will be greeted by Colette Paoli, and she'll probably serve you a great meal. The evening might even be concluded with a little glass of liquor, home made from the Myrthe fruit.
When we were there, in 2003, we paid € 30 per person, which included dinner and a large breakfast. In addition, we paid € 7,50 per person for a lunch pack.
